SiF SilaSeal C – 5L Concentrate

SilaSeal C is a water-based penetrating silane-siloxane sealer for masonry. It repels water and helps resist water-based staining while leaving a transparent, breathable finish.

A 5L bottle makes 20L of mixed sealer.

Suitable Surfaces

Porous natural stone, limestone, pavers, concrete, decorative concrete and roof tiles.

SilaSeal C provides strong resistance to water-based stains but limited resistance to oil-based stains.

Mixing

Use 1 part concentrate to 3 parts water. Add the water to the concentrate and mix thoroughly before use.

For a full bottle, add 15L of water to 5L of SilaSeal C.

Application

Read the product data sheet before starting.

1. Clean away all surface contaminants. Damp or wet surfaces are acceptable, but remove standing water with a broom or cloth.
2. Postpone application if rain is forecast within 24 hours or extreme weather is expected. Surface temperature must not exceed 30°C; cool it with water beforehand if necessary.
3. Test a small area to confirm suitability.
4. Use a well-saturated brush, roller, paint pad or low-pressure hand sprayer.
5. Saturate the substrate in one application. Minimise overlap onto areas that have already dried. If overlap occurs, wipe away the newly applied sealer before it dries to reduce white staining.
6. Spread any puddles with a soft broom and remove surplus product before drying. Excess product can leave white marks.
7. Immediately wipe overspray from glass, metal and painted surfaces using a damp cloth.
8. Keep traffic off for a minimum of 24 hours. Allow up to seven days for complete curing.
9. Wash tools with water.

Typical Properties
