High-Performance RO Filtration for Water-Fed Window Cleaning

The X-ION Lite Plus is a durable, reliable reverse osmosis system designed for professional water-fed window cleaning.

Ideal for areas with high TDS tap water, including Western Australia and South Australia, the Lite Plus combines RO and DI filtration with an integrated 12V pump to produce high-quality pure water for streak-free window cleaning.

Its simple, robust design makes it easy to operate, maintain and transport between jobs.

How It Works

1. Pre-Filtration – Tap water first passes through a 10" sediment filter and 10" carbon block filter to remove sediment, chlorine and other contaminants before reaching the RO membrane.

2. 12V X-ION Pump – The pre-filtered water is pressurised by the integrated X-ION pump, providing the RO system with strong and consistent water pressure.

3. RO Filtration – Water passes through the reverse osmosis membrane, removing over 95% of total dissolved solids (TDS) under suitable operating conditions.

4. DI Polishing – The RO water then passes through the 6L DI tank for final polishing, producing 0 TDS pure water ready for water-fed window cleaning.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the RO membrane last?
With correct operation and regular maintenance, an RO membrane can typically last 2 years or longer. Membrane life will vary depending on water quality, usage and maintenance.

When should I replace the DI resin?
We recommend replacing the DI resin when the output from the DI tank reaches 20 ppm or higher.

How often should I change the sediment and carbon filters?
Filter life depends on your local water quality and how frequently the system is used. Inspect the filters regularly and replace them when they become heavily discoloured or restricted.

What hose size should I use?
For best performance, use a hose with an internal diameter of 8mm or larger. Small-diameter or very long hoses can restrict water flow and reduce system performance.

Can the system be transported lying down?
Yes. The system can be transported lying down, provided all inlet and outlet ports are securely sealed to prevent water leakage.

Can I operate the system while it is lying down?
No. The X-ION Lite Plus should always be positioned upright while operating.

Do I have to use the pump if I already have good water pressure?
Not necessarily. If the incoming water supply provides sufficient pressure and flow for the RO system, the pump can be left switched off.

Do I need a battery for this system?
Yes, if you intend to operate the pump. The pump requires a suitable 12V power source, such as an X-ION battery pack or another compatible 12V battery.
